I provide a relational supervision experience designed to offer a secure, contained space for both you and your practice. My approach centers on your professional context and the “self” you bring to your work, fostering growth within a shame-free, reflective learning environment.

A unique partnership

The supervisory relationship is a bespoke collaboration. I recognise that you bring a specific learning style, diverse experience, and a unique blend of professional confidence and vulnerability. In return, I offer my clinical experience, specialised training, and a wealth of resources to support your development. We work within clear professional boundaries, established through a mutual contract, ensuring a foundation of safety and respect.

Shame free, human first and reflective

I am committed to a “human-first” philosophy. While maintaining professional rigor, I bring authenticity and humour to our sessions. I believe that acknowledging our shared humanity allows us to bring our full selves to the work. I facilitate a space where no topic is off-limits, and where “mistakes” are viewed as vital opportunities for reflective learning rather than sources of shame.

Tailoring supervision to your needs

Professional mastery is built on high-quality training, intentional choices in supervision, and a commitment to ongoing development. Whether you are seeking a supervisor with specific expertise or are currently assessing your needs, we will explore:

  • Your current clinical caseload and future aspirations.
  • Your specific modality and theoretical approach.
  • Regulatory or academic requirements for your stage of practice.

Specialisms & Expertise:

Since 2007, I have developed significant expertise in:

Service Leadership & Private Practice Development

Emotional Regulation & Trauma-Informed Practice

Trauma processing, PTSD and cPTSD

Brain Injury & Neurodivergence

The scope of our work

Supervision is a dynamic process that evolves over time. Our sessions may encompass:

  • Normative: Ethics, safeguarding, and fitness to practice.
  • Formative: Skill development, theoretical application, and blind spots.
  • Restorative: Containment, preventing burnout, and processing transference/counter-transference.

Whether you are looking to refine specific skills or seeking support in building a private practice, I offer a collaborative space where we can both challenge and be challenged.

My view is supervision is a journey of learning and support.
My focus is to provide an honest, reflective environment within a relationship of equality.

A place to explore

Often it is when we are at our most fragile, we can be at our best as a practitioner and I’d love to be alongside you and support you as you experience this development and growth – something we must always be open to whatever our experience or training.
Telephone and email support is always free and available to my one-to-one supervisees and is agreed in contracting.
Group supervisees or consultancy supervisees will contact their primary supervisor with overall clinical responsibility in emergencies.

Experience and qualifications

I have been a full-time therapist since 2007, with over 10,000 hours of clinical experience across private practice and agency settings. Since 2015, I have practised as a consultant and clinical supervisor for both qualified professionals and practitioners and trainees, with additional extended training to work online or by phone. In 2021 I became a Post Graduate certified Traumatologist specialising in PTSD and cPTSD

  • Global Reach: I work exclusively online, supporting therapists and organisations in the UK and worldwide.
  • Partnerships: I provide contractual supervision and consultancy for CICs, charities, and healthcare organisations.

Practical arrangements

  • Schedule: We typically contract for regular weekly, fortnightly, or 4 weekly sessions on a rolling basis.
  • Clinical Support: Individual supervisees receive complimentary telephone and email support for urgent matters (as defined in our contract).
  • Consultancy: One-off or short-term consultancy is available for specialist case work, service development, or when a primary supervisor has a conflict of interest.

Introductory appointments and initial consultations

The introductory meeting is an opportunity for us to meet as professional equals. This is not a clinical session, but a comprehensive exploration of your needs, experience, and expectations. We will discuss the supervision agreement in detail, ensuring that any decision to work together is fully informed and mutually aligned.

My Philosophy is about empowering Clinicians through collaborative & Trauma-Informed Clinical Supervision

As a supervisor, my mission is to move beyond “compliance” and toward true clinical mastery. I believe that the best therapists aren’t those who have all the answers, but those who have the confidence to ask the right questions and the resilience to stay present in the face of complex trauma or significant personal or practice challenges.

How I Work with You

My approach is built on three core pillars designed to support you from a guided learner to an autonomous peer:

  • 1. The Road map to Independence:
We can use a trauma competency framework that covers everything from clinical strategy to the “hidden” implicit processes in the room. A Ladder of Independence, not a tick sheet. My goal is to provide you with the “scaffolding” you need early on, thinning it out as you find your own clinical voice and creative problem-solving skills as you grow.
  • 2. A “Safe Base” for Trauma Work:
Trauma work is heavy. I prioritise your psychological safety and well-being just as much as your clinical technique. In our sessions, we don’t just talk about the client; we talk about you. We might use dedicated Vicarious Trauma Audits or more informal Wellness Checks to ensure you stay healthy, regulated, and inspired in this demanding yet rewarding field.
  • 3. Collaborative Strategy:
We can utilise a “Solution-First” model. I encourage you to bring any “stuck points” to supervision along with your own proposed directions. Our supervision can develop to be a high-level consultation where we bridge the gap between theory and the raw, human reality of the therapy room.

What You Can Expect

  • Total Transparency: You will always know exactly how you are doing, and at any time we can discuss what your next growth milestone might be. We agree to honesty and shared responsibility for the success of our supervisory relationship.
  • Structured Support: You’ll receive a comprehensive contract agreement to ensure we are both clear, organised and GDPR-compliant.
  • A Professional Legacy: When you reach your own goals, I will celebrate those milestones with you. Should you request it, and if appropriate I could offer a recommendation or report that reflects your hard work.

“I endeavour to engage with my supervisees with the same unconditional positive regard, dignity, and compassion that we endeavour to offer our clients. If you are looking for a supervision space that is organised, deeply reflective, and committed to your long-term career health, I would love to hear from you.”
