Clinical Supervision | Consultancy | Psychotherapy | Qualified Traumatologist

A space to think, understand and move forward.

Welcome. I’m Lisa Harris, an experienced Clinical Supervisor, Psychotherapist and qualified Traumatologist, working exclusively online with professionals and individuals across the UK and internationally.

I offer relational, reflective clinical supervision and consultancy, informed by nearly two decades of clinical practice, specialist postgraduate training and extensive experience working with complex presentations, trauma and neurodivergence.

I particularly welcome practitioners who are looking to deepen their understanding of trauma, PTSD and CPTSD, neurodivergence and complex clinical presentations.

Alongside my supervision and consultancy work, I continue to offer specialist psychotherapy. My work is grounded in curiosity, professional integrity, collaboration and a commitment to understanding people and the experiences that shape their lives.

Whether you’re a practitioner looking for an experienced clinical supervisor, a professional seeking specialist consultancy, or someone considering psychotherapy, I hope you’ll find the information you need here.

Explore clinical supervision and consultancy

Supervision is an essential part of reflective, ethical and effective professional practice. It provides a dedicated space to think, question, explore uncertainty, develop clinical understanding and consider the impact of our work.

I offer relational, collaborative clinical supervision for qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, practitioners and those in training. Having worked as a clinical supervisor since 2015, I bring extensive clinical experience, specialist postgraduate training in trauma and PTSD/CPTSD, and a particular interest in supporting practitioners working with complex presentations.

My approach is thoughtful, developmental and grounded in the belief that good supervision should strengthen clinical competence, confidence, ethical awareness and professional independence.

I welcome practitioners who want to deepen their clinical thinking, explore challenging work, develop their confidence or simply have a reflective space in which to grow professionally.

Supervision is not about being given all the answers. It is about having the space, support and professional relationship to think more deeply about the work we do.

Specialist Consultancy

Sometimes a particular case, clinical question or area of practice calls for additional specialist thought and perspective. My consultancy work draws on extensive experience in psychotherapy, supervision, trauma and related areas of practice. It offers an opportunity to explore questions, consider different perspectives and develop a clearer understanding of the issues involved.

If you’re a professional or organisation looking for specialist consultation, you’re welcome to get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Explore psychotherapy

Life can be complicated. Sometimes our experiences, relationships or past events continue to affect us in ways that are difficult to understand or change on our own.
Psychotherapy offers a space to slow down, explore what’s happening, make sense of your experiences and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. My approach is relational, thoughtful and tailored to the person sitting with me on screen.
I have particular specialist interests in trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, neurodivergence, brain injury and emotional regulation.
You don’t need to have everything worked out before you begin. We can start with where you are.

A little about me

I’ve worked as a therapist since 2007 and as a clinical supervisor since 2015. Over the years, I’ve worked in a range of settings, continued to develop my skills and accumulated more than 10,000 hours of clinical experience. My postgraduate training in Traumatology and PTSD has developed my specialist understanding of trauma and its effects. Alongside this, my wider therapeutic training informs an approach that values the whole person, their history, their relationships and the context in which they live.

But professional qualifications and experience are only part of the picture.

I believe we are human first. I value curiosity, honesty, connection and the opportunity to understand ourselves more fully. I don’t see people simply as a collection of symptoms or difficulties, and I don’t believe that one approach fits everyone. I’m a person who continues to learn, reflect and grow. That matters to me, both personally and professionally.

My approach

I aim to offer a thoughtful, respectful and collaborative space in which people can explore what matters to them. I bring professional knowledge and experience, but I also recognise that you are the expert in your own life and experiences. My role is to listen carefully, work alongside you and draw on my training and understanding to help us make sense of what is happening.

I have particular interests in trauma and its longer-term effects, neurodivergence, brain injury, emotional regulation and the ways our experiences shape how we relate to ourselves and others. I remain committed to learning, reflection and developing my practice. I believe that good therapeutic and supervisory relationships are built through trust, openness and a willingness to think together.

Reflections, resources and articles

I write regularly about psychotherapy, trauma, relationships, supervision and professional practice, alongside reflections on the experiences and questions that shape our lives. My blog is a place to explore ideas, find information and consider different perspectives, whether you’re a potential client, a practitioner or simply interested in understanding more about people and the world we inhabit.
